Caring for Your Child

A Student being shown how to play the piano

From Sunday to Wednesday the school day for pupils in Years 1-6 starts at 8am and finishes at 2.15pm. On Thursday the whole school finishes at 1.30pm.

ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) run for three days of the week and finish at 3.10pm, when children can be collected from school.

If children have siblings in the Senior section of school, they are welcome to stay until 4.10pm to travel home with Seniors. There will be a supervised homework/reading club from 3.10-4.10pm on ECA days to enable this to happen safely.

GREAT!

For one ECA session, parents will be able to select an activity for their child from our GREAT programme. This stands for Gifted, Really Enthusiastic, Able and Talented.

The programme will be sent out to parents at the start of term in order for you and your child to select an activity. We hope you will find an activity that both suits your child and that you believe is important for them to develop at school.   If there is something that your child is interested in that is not on the list, your feedback will help us to improve the programme for the future – this is definitely a time for the children to shine, so we aim to follow their interests.
